FB post

I have been following a number of posts about the negative experiences here, some people go overboard in their reactions to others but I will say this
I have been in Israel almost 25 years, I am in my fourth round of unemployment, doing a bit of coaching to try and build something
I turned down a good job in england a while back because I love it here.
My point is some people make Aliyah from a mindset of entitlement thinking Israel owes them.
It is indeed a great celebration when another Jew comes home but Israel does not come to a standstill because you have made Aliyah.
Israel's challenges, waves of terror and the constant threat of annihilation by our loving neighbors in the "quiet" neighborhood that is the middle east for some reason still ensues despite your Aliyah .
Israel has plenty of issues , there are a lot of unacceptable things going on here but that is life and not unique to Israel .
What Israel has achieved in 67 years is beyond miraculous, Israel is almost if not the number one responder to natural disasters all around the world and for its size that willingness is amazing...I could go on....
Many say easier said that done...well obviously because it is said not done
How you choose to see Israel no matter what goes on here is how you will deal with and live in Israel

Aliyah Integration Coaching #12

Aliyah Integration Coaching #11

Sharing The Personal and Positive
I was sitting this past Shabbat afternoon on a bench in a beautiful garden in the village/town of Kfar HaRoeh with the modest Shabbat wind caressing my cheeks and captivating my hair in its wistful dance.
I heard the glorious laughter of children, let my heart fill with the magnificent privilege of being with loved ones.
The powerful current of gratitude swept me away from the shores of indifference losing myself in the grateful existence of the privilege of living in Israel.
As I continued to take in this beautiful garden I found myself thinking of those of centuries past who felt Israel a mere dream , who suffered and cried so many tears that formed the powerful river that showed us the way back home .
Thank you Hashem for the little things in life that are so unbelievably awesome.

Aliyah Integration Coaching #10

Life in Israel will not allow you to be a spectator to your own life.It will demand you be involved ,for each step you make here is a prophesy fulfilled,no matter how you feel about your life, your mere presence in Israel is packed with meaningful impact from the past right now and in the future. Each step you make in Israel is a victory and a defeat to those who for milennia have tried and continue to try and eradicate our presence here

Aliyah Integration Coaching #9

The word mindset is misleading for if your mind is set then you will not be open to change, to growth, to new levels of joy ,fulfillment ,perspective and success.
Keep your mindset fluid then you will be able to reset , reevaluate, rejuvenate ,realign and redeem as many times as is necessary.
Building an Aliyah mindset is no different, Aliyah is dynamic so keeping your mindset fluid will allow you  to choose to adapt,to be open to change, to a new culture ,environment etc.
Put in the effort ,you and your family are worth it...your place in Israel can never be filled by anyone but you.

Aliyah Integration Coaching #8

If you come to Israel hoping for a hotel , looking for a concierge ,expecting the waiters to come you will end up having nothing more than a vacation and not always a pleasant one .
If you come to Israel because you are coming home you will fight for each moment ,find perspective and endure because you are making it your own as that what turns a house into a home.

Aliyah Integration Coaching #7

Some make out as if "we did not come to Israel to get fined by a cop".Well you do get fined in other countries as well and more importantly if we are going to get fined isn't it great to get fined by a Jewish cop in a Jewish country after 2000 years ..against all odds?

There is a difference between complaining about a legitimate issue and using complaining as a distraction from meaningful action.

Aliyah Integration Coaching #5

In any journey ,when you choose to see the challenges you face as on the way and not in the way you will be much more confident that you will find your way.

Aliyah Integration Coaching #4

Making Aliyah is like any tremendous change -old habits have to be evaluated against the new habits that have to be learned.
If the old habits get in the way of learning the new habits then they have to be let go.
Installing new habits takes time, the ambitious stock boy did not make CEO in a day but in Israel your journey has a different enduring meaning.
